Flashback Vodka
ART DIRECTION FOR LOCATION AND STUDIO PHOTOSHOOT
When it came time to do the first photoshoot we wanted to make sure the photography would fit with the look already established for Flashback Vodka through the previous design work. The team at Flashback Vodka agreed and so we put together a briefing/inspiration document for the photographer and stylist to bounce off.
The document and mood boards introduced the
• colour palette and flavours
• brand philosophy and primary messaging
• the types of studio product shots we needed, including lighting and angles
• lighting inspiration for the location shoot at the Lydford and Co bar
• ideas for drink and product shots on the bar
• examples of the type of imagery used so far
• the colour palette and flavours
• ideas for what could be done around Lydford and Co that would evoke the atmosphere we were looking for
• cheersing and hands holding drinks idea
• quirky ideas to evoke the fun of the brand
• possible video ideas
All ideas were aimed at the younger end of the drinking market, that being the primary market for Flashback Vodka.
The photographer Alex Jovanovic from Freestyle Photography and stylist Alana Camm were then able to use this document as a guide to come up with their own ideas for the shoot. See the images in the carousel showing the great photography results in social media format.
On the location shoot day we all worked collaboratively to ensure the photography was suiting the brief. Alex and Alana did a fantastic job.
